Key Responsibilities

• Support race strategy and tyre performance engineers with their race weekend operations and simulation activities.
• Support post-session and post-event reporting on car and team performance.
• Assist in the development and improvement of race strategy and tyre performance tools, systems, and supporting infrastructure.
• Contribute to competitor analysis and tyre performance analysis to support strategic decision making.
• Assist in the development and refinement of race strategy and tyre performance operational processes and methodologies.
• Work closely with the wider Performance and Race Engineering groups to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable analysis.
• Produce clear reports and visualisations to communicate insights, trends, and performance findings.
• Develop and maintain department administration and reporting procedures.

What do you need to bring to the team?

• Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline (ideally on a placement year as part of your course).
• Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, with a genuine interest in motorsport performance and race strategy.
• Excellent numerical ability and confidence working with data in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
• Proactive mindset, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performance team environment.
• Experience with data analysis tools, coding, or scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar) would be advantageous.
• Experience working with large datasets, data visualisation, or simulation tools would be beneficial.
• A passion for Formula 1® and an understanding of the strategic elements of race weekend operations is highly desirable.
