This is it. Your chance to experience life at Lidl and all it has to offer. With experience spanning across our stores, warehouses & regional offices, you’ll build your leadership skills and develop your knowledge to become a retail management professional.
This programme is rotational, taking you on a 23-month learning journey that gives you the best possible exposure to our core business areas, along with a range of opportunities to build your experience, resilience, and business acumen.
What you’ll do
Year 1
In your first year, you’ll spend a period in each of the following core Lidl business areas:

Sales (store-based, 16 weeks)-
You’ll get to know how our stores operate, working across all key store roles. Starting as a Customer Assistant with specialist training, you’ll learn all about our processes, products, and customers. Then, you’ll join the store management team, developing your leadership skills whilst supporting with daily operations to ensure your store runs like clockwork.
It’s tough work, but the buzz of getting to know your team, leading a store to success, and supporting your local community make this a great experience. -
HR (regional office-based, 4 weeks)
- You’ll discover how our HR teams facilitate the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of our regional departments. You’ll make useful contacts and have time to learn about our people policies, including employment law and well-being

Logistics (warehouse-based, 16 weeks) - Starting off as a Warehouse Operative, you’ll learn all the ins and outs of our fast-moving warehousing operations. You’ll rotate around the 3 core warehouse areas, keeping our stock flowing in, and our recycling flowing out. Next, you’ve got your leadership training to look forward to – supporting our warehouse management team to keep things running smoothly, and even running shifts yourself.
You’ll love the challenge of learning the fundamentals of logistics and warehousing, whilst being exposed to large teams and a very different working environment.

Supply Chain (regional office based, 16 weeks) - Here you'll work within the complex supply chain of Lidl. You'll learn how to order products, manage quality and freshness, and deal with the suppliers who deliver day in, day out, to keep our products on our shelves.
This is a really fast moving, target driven department, giving you exposure to a different environment altogether. There are loads to learn, and real satisfaction earned from hitting deadlines that keep our processes running smoothly.
Year 2
You’ll spend the next year honing your expertise and crafting your management experience to get the most out of your programme, putting you in the best position to take your career to the next level.
Your innovative ideas, drive, and ambition will ensure you take every opportunity to improve yourself – and the business. In return, you’ll be given all the tools you need to succeed.
What you'll need
- A 2:2 degree in any discipline by September 2025, having graduated no earlier than September 2023.
- A full UK driving license by February 2025.
- To live – or be ready to relocate – within a commutable distance from your chosen Regional Distribution Centre
- To be legally entitled to work in the UK on a full-time basis by the start date
- The desire to learn, develop and succeed in a fast-moving, challenging environment
- Assertiveness and confidence in your communication skills
- The ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times
What you'll receive
