Rolls-Royce Engineering and Technology Graduate Programme - Register your interest
Graduate scheme
Applications for our 2025 Engineering and Technology Graduate Programme will open later this year. We invite you to register your interest to receive updates on when applications open.
We have a long history of achieving extraordinary goals and our ambitions for the future are no less bold. Join us and you can help transform the way we power, protect, and connect people across the globe, secure our world, and explore the universe.
At Rolls-Royce, you’re not expected to follow a set path. Everyone is unique, so every Rolls-Royce journey is different too. We'll help you to find your way and discover your potential. Your unique personality, passion, and sense of purpose makes us who we are and a place where everyone belongs. And anything is possible. Be you. Be Rolls-Royce.
What you'll do on the programme
You'll work across the full Rolls-Royce product and service lifecycle, getting the chance to work in innovation and concept development, design, testing, manufacturing, or service support. That could mean anything from exploring nuclear options for powering space travel, to helping develop exciting new demonstrator engines like our UltraFan. From using data, technology, and AI to improve a power station's impact on the environment. Or to keeping our company cyber safe.
It will mean building an engine from scratch as part of your practical project, with the help of experts in the industry. People who are as invested in your success as you are.
You'll be aligned to one of our business areas, Civil Aerospace, Defence, Submarines, Group IT, Central Manufacturing or Central Technology and choose rotational 'gigs', moving across teams and projects gathering experiences across Digital & Data, Electrical, Manufacturing, Design and Systems Integration and more. We want to give you as many options as possible at this early stage of your career. It’s all about growth, and how we can help you find the best fit.
Depending on your level of experience and the path you take, the Engineering and Technology Programme will take between 18 to 24 months. During that time, you’ll gain invaluable insight into the scope and variety of the work we do and where you want to take your career with us. And, with a combination of digital learning and on-the-job training and development, your ideas will come to life in real and meaningful ways.
You’ll be supported by your very own career coach, whose job it is to help you realise your full potential – not just on the programme, but beyond. You’ll feel included, developed, recognised, and motivated to succeed. At Rolls-Royce, we’re committed to a culture of continuous learning. We’ll draw up a framework based on your interests, aspirations, and goals. This could include supporting you in obtaining a relevant professional qualification further down the line.
What you'll need to be successful
Any STEM degree, with subjects directly related to our work –– or a joint honours degree that combines a STEM subject with another like business or economics.
You’ll also need to be as passionate as we are about the world of technology. You’ll need to believe in the future of sustainable power, and its potential to change lives for the better. You’ll need to be open-minded, curious, collaborative, and agile in your approach to solving problems. We'll also ask you to consider the area of the business you’d prefer to work in so think about how your degree or skills could benefit one of those areas.
You must be flexible about where you work and be open to travelling between locations if required. We see hybrid working as a way to balance and flex our time between the office, home, or another remote working place. We’ve committed everyone to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons on average three days per week, but specific arrangements will be dependent on your role and placement. We encourage and support flexible working arrangements where we can. This includes which days, how many hours and at what times you need to work.
What you'll get in return
You’ll be a full-time employee, working on real projects and making a real difference from day one. That’s why we make sure you’re properly rewarded for the work you do.
- 33 days’ annual leave including bank holidays
- Bonus schemes
