See Work Differently Placement - PR and Communications Assistant
Location:
Edinburgh or remote
Hours:
15 hours per week
Contract Type:
10-week placement
Salary:
£12.63 per hour (Real Living Wage)
Are you interested in PR, communications or digital media and keen to make a real difference? This placement is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while helping RNIB Scotland raise awareness of issues affecting blind and partially sighted people.
As a PR & Communications Assistant, you'll support the team with day-to-day activities that promote our work. This will include helping to create simple written content such as social media posts and event information, monitoring media coverage, supporting digital and web updates, and assisting with basic admin and planning tasks. You'll also help with marketing and internal communications by proofreading content and supporting staff updates.
You'll be organised, detail-focused, and comfortable using digital tools, with experience creating written content and analysing social media. An interest in PR, journalism or communications is desirable, but not essential - training and support will be provided.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build practical skills, confidence, and experience in a supportive team, while contributing to work that truly matters.
This role is funded specifically for candidates who experience sight loss and are not in paid work - we are looking forward to receiving your application if this applies to you. Previous placement holders need not apply.
