The Software Team at MBDA
The Software team at MBDA delivers software for the next generation of weapons in an ever-evolving environment to support those on the battlefield. Our teams provide a range of products from high integrity software running on our munitions, weapon systems, software infrastructures (i.e., DevOps), and Simulation Software to support the business. We use a variety of programming languages, software tools, and software lifecycle methodologies to achieve this.
Opportunity Details
- 10-week placement: Starting June 2027, that allows you to apply your university learning to real-world projects and technologies.
- Perform well on your placement: You could secure a graduate role before your final year.
- Pension: Maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%.
- Overtime: Opportunity for paid overtime.
- Annual Leave: 5 days.

Qualifications Required
- Current undergraduate working towards a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or relevant Engineering field (including Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mathematics, Physics).

Security Clearance
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
