Software Internship

As part of our mission to expand our world class team at Quantinuum, we look for talented and high potential individuals to join us in an internship position. We are looking for a candidate to contribute to our software tools for quantum compiler optimisations (TKET).

We are looking for:

• Background: MSc and PhD students in computer science, quantum computing or closely related fields.
• Requirements: Familiarity with quantum computing is a plus but not required; we welcome applicants with a background in compilers, graph transformation systems, combinatorial optimisation or related fields.
• Engineering Skills: Strong programming skills and experience writing performance-critical code (Rust or willingness to learn Rust required).
• Research Skills: Experience in exploring and reviewing scientific literature. Ability to come up with ideas independently and communicate problems effectively.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers in Quantinuum’s TKET team and participate in discussions with the QEC team. A member of the TKET team will supervise your project and meet with you on a regular basis.
