The Stanwich Club is a Platinum Club of America, a Distinguished Emerald Club, Best Golf Course in CT (Golf Digest), and now the #1 Culinary operation in CT. Stanwich is a member-owned Private Club in Greenwich, CT that boasts an 18-hole championship golf course, a beautiful clubhouse with new dining facilities and a state-of-the-art kitchen. The Clubs other amenities include a pool, seasonal snack bar, 8 har-tru tennis courts, paddle tennis, and an indoor tennis bubble

Interns must be currently enrolled in a Culinary and/or College Program with the intentions of growing in the culinary or hospitality field. In this internship you gain valuable experience in hospitality service for this internship involves all hands experience on working in the restaurant and private club setting one hour from NYC.

• Assist with ensuring customer’s are enjoying their meals and correcting any problems
• Escorting customer’s to their tables
• Assist in preparing checks of the meal costs including sales tax
• Assist in serving food and/or beverages to customers
• Inform customer’s of daily specials and menu items
• Understanding how dishes are prepared and served
• Setting up and breaking down banquet events

Job Qualifications & Requirements Education

• Hospitality, Events, Restaurant, Tourism Student preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to continuously sit, stand and move a minimum of 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting.
• Must be able to work different shifts that include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts. An average of 40 hours a week is expected, especially in the busy season.
• Must be 18 years of age.
