John Deere Internship Opportunity

John Deere is a leading supplier of agricultural, professional turf, and grounds maintenance equipment, offering a 12-month student placement to support our training needs within the turf sector. This opportunity provides exposure to various business aspects, including Sales & Marketing, Customer Support, and Training.

Responsibilities

• Working with the Turf Training Manager for Europe
• Organising and developing training materials for professional turf dealers
• Supporting turf machinery shows and training events
• Data validation for precision guided machinery in collaboration with educational establishments or external businesses, working with high-profile golf courses, Premier League football clubs, and fine sports turf across Europe
• Helping with setup at training events across Europe and attending these events
• Preparing facilities, machinery, material, and schedules for training events
• Processing spreadsheets
• Competency with Microsoft packages, especially PowerPoint and Excel
• Conducting data analysis
• This position would suit a general business student or one specializing in sports; an interest in golf would be beneficial but not necessary

• Spend time with Turf Territory Managers, visiting customers and dealers, experiencing demos, and gaining a broader understanding
• Be part of a fun, vibrant team based in Nottingham at the Sales & Marketing Branch
• Support and develop presentations to customers, dealers, and other audiences about the John Deere brand and products
• Work on projects with other teams within the business to explore all business angles

Expectations

• Positive approach, can-do attitude, and willingness to take initiative
• Willingness to travel within the UK and abroad approximately once per month
• A clean driving license is desirable
