Introduction
Are you passionate about combating climate change? Join the Freezing Global Warming (FGW) initiative and make a real impact! Although the Earth’s temperature fluctuates there is a clear trend of increasing temperature above pre-industrial levels over time. Scientific evidence indicates that burning fossil fuels has impacted the Earth’s climate. If we don’t take action to mitigate Global Warming, we risk severe consequences to our ecosystems.
Solution
FGW proposes an innovative approach to mitigate climate change by leveraging biomass, seawater, and low temperatures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative will sequester carbon by cultivating biomass (primarily trees), shipping timber to the Antarctic Circle, and creating composite icebergs with seawater. The composite icebergs are transported to Antarctic bays, where low temperatures and seawater prevent organic decay over geological timescales.
Internship Opportunities
We are seeking to appoint three student internships each for approx. 70 hours of work (This might vary), paid at a rate of £12.60 per hour for a short period of time. Gain hands-on experience, enhance your CV, and contribute to a groundbreaking project aimed at mitigating climate change.
