Job Placement Overview
We are looking to recruit students for a 52-week student placement with the Metropolitan Police Service. All roles will provide students with valuable insight and experience working for one of the largest public organizations in the UK and the largest single employer in London. These roles are substantive posts, offering practical experience across various areas.
Counter Terrorism Policing
Counter Terrorism Policing is a collaboration of UK police forces working with the UK intelligence community to protect the public and national security by preventing, deterring, and investigating terrorist activity. As threats evolve, we need to constantly adapt. This role is an opportunity to contribute to protecting the UK and its communities.
About You
All candidates must be undergraduate students in a sandwich year course, returning to study in Autumn 2028.
Vetting
The posts require access to the most sensitive intelligence material daily. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post. Some roles may require British nationality, and candidates may need to undergo an Enhanced Security Check (eSC) clearance.
Access to very sensitive information limits travel to certain countries, and additional security checks will be conducted as part of the recruitment process. Applications from candidates with close ties to specific countries may take longer, or offers may be withdrawn. Further details will be provided at the conditional offer stage.
