Job Description:
Taylor Hobson is recruiting for an Electronics/Systems Placement Student to join the Business Unit in Leicester, United Kingdom for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Working as part of our multi-disciplined R&D team you will be involved with the design, development and testing of the control systems for our precision measurement instruments.
This Could Involve The Following:
- Writing and testing firmware for FPGAs and microcontrollers
- Creating and modifying CAD drawings in various software packages
- Assisting with evaluation testing, involving measuring components on our instruments and analysing the results
- Assisting with creation and maintenance of electronics CAD libraries
Requirements for Consideration:
Essential:
- At least basic knowledge of the following -VHDL FPGA design, C programming, digital and analog electronics
- Strong all-round communication and analytical skills and a real commitment to teamwork
- Drives projects to completion
- Confidence and integrity
Desirable:
- Proficient in the use of Word processing, Maths (Excel) and PCB schematic capture software
- Undergraduate level electronic engineering or related discipline
