Role Responsibilities:
- Assisting site engineers in major engineering control activities.
- Carrying out basic engineering controls as directed.
- Carrying out checks on survey equipment.
- Providing site operatives with information from drawings, schedules and the specification.
- Completing quality checks.
- Keeping accurate records (diaries/photographs/site discussions).
- Contributing to issuing of permits.
- Occasionally giving briefings.
- Attending safety inspections with senior management.
- Identifying hazards and raising Unsafe Condition Notices.
Essential Experience:
- Having a friendly, flexible approach to your working day and a willingness to learn will be essential for this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enthusiastic and motivated individuals currently studying a Civil Engineering / Construction Management degree in their 1st or 2nd Year, available for 8 weeks from 20 July 2026. Priority will be given to candidates studying at a Midlands-based University or who are permanent residents within the area.
