Job Description

HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway, is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Now is a great time to join us and be part of a diverse team of nearly 9,000 people from over 80 nationalities working together to deliver major assets including bridges, tunnels and viaducts. Whether onsite or office-based, all colleagues have a key part to play in delivering this critical transport infrastructure project.

Role Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate reporting of measures and metrics for programme management.
  • Creating weekly production update reports for the whole project.
  • Implementing and monitoring compliance against processes and standards of the project, including HS2 requirements.
  • Developing analytical skills to analyse data, identify trends, and performance improvement measures.
  • Participate in fieldwork testing, interview stakeholders, identify and communicate issues, and support in the preparation of assurance reports.

Essential Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an interest in Data Analytics.
  • A willingness to learn new processes and use initiative.
  • Demonstrate a teamwork and a collaborative approach.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated individuals currently studying a Computer Science related degree in their 1st or 2nd Year of their degree programme and available for 8 weeks from 20 July 2026. Prioritisation will be given to candidates studying at a Midlands-based University or who are permanent residents within the area.
