This graduate role offers a hands-on introduction to global supply chain operations, providing exposure to international sourcing, logistics, and product management. You will work closely with our supply chain team and gain direct experience managing imports and exports from key manufacturing regions including:

  • Vietnam

  • China

  • Malaysia

  • Italy

The role is designed as a structured development opportunity, allowing you to build commercial, operational, and product knowledge while working with experienced professionals across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Global Logistics & Shipping

  • Coordinate international shipments from suppliers to UK head office and direct to customers.

  • Monitor shipping schedules, freight bookings, and container movements.

  • Work with freight forwarders to optimise shipping costs and transit times.

  • Track deliveries and ensure smooth import clearance processes.

Supplier & Factory Coordination

  • Liaise with international manufacturing partners regarding production schedules.

  • Support communication between Woodlodge teams and factories in Asia and Europe.

  • Assist with order management and shipment documentation.

Import & Export Administration

  • Prepare and review key documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping paperwork.

  • Ensure compliance with UK import regulations and international trade requirements.

  • Support customs processes and product classification where required.

Product & Supply Chain Analysis

  • Assist with demand planning and stock flow analysis.

  • Support the supply chain team in forecasting and inventory management.

  • Work with the product team to understand product specifications and sourcing requirements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Support projects aimed at improving supply chain visibility and performance.

  • Assist with reporting on supply chain metrics including lead times and stock availability.

Development & Training

This will provide structured exposure to multiple areas of the business including:

  • International sourcing and manufacturing

  • Ocean freight and container logistics

  • Product lifecycle and supply chain planning

  • Global supplier relationship management

You will work directly with experienced team members and gain real responsibility early in your career, with clear opportunities to progress within the company

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded graduate with a keen interest in international trade and supply chains.

Essential:

  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a progressing environment

Desirable:

  • Interest in global trade and manufacturing

  • Knowledge of shipping, logistics, or procurement

  • Experience with data analysis or supply chain systems

This role is based at our Head office in Tetbury, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm.

25 days Holiday - Plus Bank Holidays.
