About this Role

Are you a talented student looking for an opportunity to gain real-world experience in education? We are seeking our next Industrial Placement in Residence, on a one-year fixed term from August 2025. This paid, live-in role is perfect for undergraduates on a placement year or postgraduates with a relevant degree.

You will get involved in:

  • Design and testing of experiments for the classroom
  • Research evaluating novel uses of Technology in the classroom
  • Plan and deliver STEM activities across the College and the Hurst Education Trust
  • Work alongside the Department’s staff in the delivery and development of the curriculum, including design of teaching resources and supporting teachers in the classroom
  • Provide 1-on-1 tutoring to A-level students
  • Take responsibility for a tutor group in the Senior School, ensuring academic and personal growth
  • Support science-based initiatives such as the CREST Gold award, Engineering Education Scheme, Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and similar activities.
  • Get involved in the College's co-curricular activities
