About the business area

Our technology teams sit within our Group Chief Information Office (GCIO), building the digital platforms, systems, and products our customers and colleagues use every day, keeping assets and data secure, and delivering exceptional digital experiences.

Who you are

This programme will help you build skills and grow – if you recognise yourself in the qualities below, then you’ll thrive in this role:

  • Team player: You enjoy working with others and can bring people together to solve problems – even when they have different priorities or ways of working.
  • Clear communicator: You’re comfortable explaining ideas in different ways – whether that’s in conversation or presentations.
  • Problem solver: You like digging into data and processes, spotting gaps or opportunities, and thinking about how things could work better.
  • Resilient under pressure: You stay focused when things get busy, manage your time well, and don’t give up when faced with a challenge.
  • Proactive mindset: You’re someone who takes responsibility, follows things through, and looks for ways to make an impact – even if you’re not the decision maker.

What you’ll do

You will work on a range of projects, depending on your team – but here’s a flavour of what you might get involved in:

  • Join our Business Analyst community, supporting the design of innovative solutions that meet real business needs.
  • Understand stakeholder needs, then turn them into clear, actionable requirements for our Developers and Engineers.
  • Work in agile teams to keep projects moving, analyse new information, and contribute insights that shape outcomes.
  • Help our Business, Product and Engineering teams bring new ideas to life – from early concepts to full delivery.
  • Learn how to document and manage requirements using tools like Jira and present them in a way everyone can understand.
  • Analyse data and processes to spot gaps, risks or opportunities to make things better.
  • Practise adapting your communication style for different audiences, from stakeholders to technical teams and support functions.

What you’ll learn

This is a two-year programme designed to develop both your technical and professional skills.

You'll get:

  • Structured training in key areas like stakeholder management, project delivery, business transformation, and quality assurance.
  • Access to self-led learning, virtual classrooms and hands-on projects that stretch your capabilities.
  • Behavioural coaching to grow your leadership and influence skills.
  • Opportunities to take part in hackathons, innovation challenges, and other collaborative experiences across the business.
  • Certification support – you’ll get a personal training allowance and may receive team-funded support for additional professional qualifications.

Every graduate journey is different, depending on your team – but whatever your path, you’ll have the support, structure and challenge to help you succeed.

Your application journey

As part of your application, you’ll complete a short online coding test. This helps us understand your current skills so we can tailor our support and help you get the most from the programme.
