From day one, you'll be part of a collaborative team, gaining hands-on experience across a range of technologies, projects and business areas. You’ll get the opportunity to work with all areas of our business from instore, online, trading, supply and logistics to understand how Technology is the foundation for how a retailer operates. You’ll also work with experienced Technology professionals who will support your development and help you build the skills needed for a successful career in Tech.

ROLE

Our Technology Graduate role offers a structured technology development journey, giving you the opportunity to build expertise across a range of specialist areas while gaining valuable insight into how technology enables our business. Through a series of placements, you'll develop your technical knowledge, commercial understanding, and problem-solving capability while helping deliver technology that makes a real difference for customers and colleagues.

Throughout the role, you'll gain exposure to:

• AI innovative solutions that improve customer and colleague experience
• Cloud technologies and infrastructure
• Cybersecurity and digital resilience
• Web platforms and customer-facing technology
• Data, systems, and integrations
• Modern engineering practices and agile ways of working

You'll spend time in one of our retail stores, giving you first-hand insight into our customers, colleagues, and operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting the delivery of technology projects and initiatives
• Working with colleagues across Technology and the wider business
• Analyzing technical and business challenges and helping to identify effective solutions
• Learning and applying new technologies, tools, and ways of working
• Supporting the design, testing, and implementation of technology solutions
• Contributing ideas and bringing fresh perspectives to the team
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Asda
• Supporting agile project teams to deliver business outcomes
• Using data and insight to support decision-making and continuous improvement
• Taking ownership of your personal and professional development

QUALIFICATIONS

We're looking for ambitious, curious individuals who are excited by technology, motivated by learning, and eager to make an impact. You might be a recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Equally, if you have a genuine passion for technology and innovation, we'd love to hear from you.
