About this programme

Collaborating with leading software developers, product owners and technology experts. Working on a product that changes how millions of people watch their favourite shows. There’s only one place where you’ll see action like this in your career – and that’s Sky.

Join our Technology graduate programme and you’ll spend two years taking on varied roles, rising to unique challenges and working on the kind of exciting projects you just don’t find anywhere else. Collaborate with our technology teams across the globe on video streaming platforms, be at the forefront of Gen AI and Machine Learning or even work with teams to help customers connect with the content on multiple platforms. All while discovering first-hand how we bring millions of people the entertainment they know and love.

And the best thing is you don’t have to specialise too soon. From product ownership to pure technical mastery, this programme lets you taste it all before deciding on the career path that suits you best.

What you’ll be doing

This programme gives you exposure to several different areas of our technology business which is where we develop all our game-changing devices and products.

Over the course of two years, you’ll take on multiple roles which might include:

  • Product Owner
  • Scrum Master
  • Project Manager
  • Data Analyst
  • Developer

From the start, you’ll get going with complex and challenging projects. You’ll have opportunities to work alongside great and talented people. Plus, you’ll get lots of freedom to try out new ideas and shape where our multibillion-pound business goes next. And by the end of the scheme, you’ll have developed all the core skills you need to take on your first permanent role.

What we’re looking for

The essential requirements are that you have or will be graduating soon and have a passion for technology. It doesn’t matter what your degree is in. You will have the drive and ambition that you can bring to a team, and you like to stay up to date on the latest technology developments.

Your application journey

  • Step 1 – Submit your application.

We’ll ask for your details, academic information, and anything else you think would be relevant, such as work experience.

Once your application has been submitted, you’ll be invited to complete our immersive digital assessments. This may land in your junk folder, so remember to check it.
  • Step 2 – Complete our two online digital assessments.

These look at your Sky fit and your business fit. Why not pop onto our dedicated preparation hub to familiarise yourself with some of these digital assessments before completing them. You’ll also have the opportunity to practice each of these assessments beforehand, so please read our email instructions carefully. We’ve added some tips to help you along the way.

You’ll be able to complete the coding assessment in any modern-day web language of your choosing. Please make sure you do practice tests before beginning this stage. We don’t expect to know everything so during this test you can also refer to websites or books.
  • Step 3 – Attend our virtual assessment centre.

For the final stage, we’ll invite you to our virtual assessment centre and give you some tasks to get to know you better. The day will give you a practical insight into what it’s like to work as a Technologist and will assess your technical aptitude.

Once you’ve completed your assessment day, we’ll let you know when you can expect to hear back from us.

Reasonable adjustments – if you need us to make any adjustments to help you complete any stage of your application, let us know you submit your application and someone from our Early Careers team will get in touch.
