Technology Internship - Engineering

What you’ll do

Over the course of eight to ten weeks, you’ll get to:

• Work with supportive and diverse teams on a real business problem that involves developing, maintaining and optimising HSBC’s technological infrastructure
• Draw on the knowledge and experience of seasoned Engineers to help you prepare for future opportunities
• After the internship you’ll have the possibility to transition to our two-year Engineering Graduate Programme.

As part of the assessment process, you’ll be asked to take an online technical test. This is for us to ascertain your level of technical knowledge and understand your development needs.

What you'll learn

We’ll help you develop the technical skills most relevant to your role. We’ll also provide plenty of opportunities to advance your non-technical skills, like communication and collaboration, that will help you move your career forward successfully.

During your time on the programme, you’ll:

• Discover what it takes to become a skilled engineer as you learn the basics of programming, data infrastructures, debugging and code readability
• Gain experience in release management, UI implementation, object-oriented programming, responsive design and cross-platform development
• Have plenty of other opportunities to develop your skills, and people to support you along the way, ensuring that you’re well prepared for the future
