Trainee Audio Test Engineer

Are you an electronics whiz? Are you the person family and friends call when something technical isn't working properly? Have you considered a career as an Electronics Test Engineer?

We have a vacancy to train a suitable candidate to join our production team as a Trainee Test Engineer. Test Engineers are given multiple finished products, then carry out procedures on them to ensure that they are operating correctly. You will learn how to trouble shoot problems as that is the real art. Why is this unit not working as it should? Find the problem, rectify it and report failures to feed back to our production team.

As you will become knowledgeable on Glensound products, our Test Engineers also perform a customer support role when products fail in the field. This would involve remote support and diagnostics, help with any solutions the customer can try, then ultimately getting a unit back and repairing it yourself.

Most of our products are now network audio based using Dante or Ravenna/AES67. As many support issues involve networking, experience in your studies of networking systems would be a distinct advantage.

Holiday is 22 days per year, plus public bank holidays, and you would be auto enrolled in the company pension scheme. You must be based close to Maidstone in Kent as this is an onsite role.
