Gestamp is Spanish owned multinational organisation looking to maintain market leadership in their field. As such, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work within the Industrial Engineering department of Gestamp’s West Midlands plant based in Four Ashes, near Wolverhampton. The department supports the operational manufacturing and internal logistics teams through work study, capacity planning and process & plant layout techniques. As the name suggests, this improvement focused role aims to optimise the way the plant works through identification or reaction to process inefficiencies.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification or some experience as elements of this are required but this position is biased towards systems optimisation. The role involves the maintenance of the plant’s production data collection systems and their reporting to senior management as well as the identification and running of improvement projects of various sizes, so an inquisitive and self-starting individual is essential. Strong IT, Maths and data analysis ability is essential combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to counteract natural resistance to change. This is a trainee position, therefore support and guidance will be provided. Are you this person?
