About the Regulatory & Product Compliance Team

The Regulatory & Product Compliance team in the UK plays a central role in helping the firm operate responsibly, meet its regulatory obligations, and deliver good outcomes for clients.

We are an independent second-line function, providing oversight, advice, and challenge across the business. We work closely with senior management and colleagues across Private Clients, Model Portfolio Services, Discretionary Portfolio Management, Global Products & Solutions, Risk, and other functions to ensure regulatory requirements are understood and appropriately embedded within the firm’s day-to-day activities.

Our role is not simply to interpret regulation. We aim to understand the business, its clients, and the regulatory risks it faces so that we can provide practical, proportionate, and commercially informed guidance.

Team Responsibilities

  • Compliance Advisory: Providing advice and guidance to the business on regulatory requirements, new initiatives, products, services, and client-related matters.
  • Compliance Monitoring & Assurance: Assessing whether the firm’s policies, processes, and controls are operating effectively and identifying areas where improvements may be required.
  • Regulatory Change: Supporting the Legal function in monitoring developments in the regulatory environment, assessing their impact on the firm, and supporting the implementation of required changes.
  • Conduct & Client Outcomes: Supporting the firm in maintaining high standards of conduct and ensuring the interests of clients and the delivery of good client outcomes remain central to decision-making.
  • Policies and Governance: Maintaining the firm’s compliance framework, policies, and procedures and providing relevant reporting and management information to senior management and governance committees.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Supporting the firm’s relationship and interactions with regulators, including regulatory notifications, information requests, and reporting obligations.
  • Training & Culture: Helping colleagues across the firm understand their regulatory responsibilities and promoting a strong culture of compliance, integrity, and individual accountability.
  • Business & Strategic Change: Providing compliance input into projects and strategic initiatives to ensure regulatory considerations are identified and addressed at an early stage.

What’s in It for You?

  • Tailored Career Path: The Compliance Graduate role provides an entry point into a professional career in wealth management compliance, developing expertise while growing personally and professionally.
  • Global Perspective: Gain international experience and work with diverse teams.
  • Community & Mentorship: Learn from industry leaders and peers and build a strong network.
  • Impactful Work: Contribute to projects that make a real difference from day one.
  • Firm-wide View: The Compliance team covers a wide range of activities within the firm, providing an excellent environment for a graduate to develop a broad understanding of how a wealth management business operates.

Your Challenge

The graduate programme is designed to build both your technical regulatory knowledge and your understanding of the wealth management business. During the programme, you will work alongside experienced Compliance professionals, supporting the team with research, analysis, monitoring, and day-to-day compliance activities.

You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues at different levels across the firm, gaining insight into areas such as investment management, client relationships, operations, and governance. This will help you understand not only what the regulatory requirements are but why they matter and how they influence the decisions a wealth management firm makes. Over the course of the programme, we want you to develop the judgment, confidence, and technical knowledge required to become a trusted Compliance professional. Someone who can analyse an issue, understand the regulatory and client implications, challenge constructively, and provide clear, practical advice to the business.

Your Profile

  • Educational Background: Master’s or undergraduate degree in Economics, Law, Politics, History (or similar discipline) from a university or university of applied sciences with a strong academic record (graduation max. 12 months ago).
  • Experience: Initial practical experience through part-time work or internships in financial services or other professional fields.
  • Interest: Passion for financial services, particularly wealth management, and a desire to create value beyond wealth.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Produce clear, accurate, and well-reasoned work.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, tackling problems with an open mind and curiosity.
  • Learning Ability: An ability and willingness to learn.
  • Organisational Skills: Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Global Mindset: Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong appetite for learning.
  • Languages: Fluency in English, with additional languages being a plus.
  • Eligibility: Eligibility to work in the country where you apply for the position.
