We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Assistant for waking nights to join our Lions Campus team in Marylebone.

About Lions Campus

Lions Campus offers a bridge between the primary phase of treatment and the real world enabling young people to continue practising their coping strategies in a safe, substance-free environment, without further loss in academic attainment. We aim to improve young people’s long-term wellbeing and reduce their chances of relapse or further complications relating to mental health difficulties or disorders.

It is important to note that Lions Campus is not a primary care, nor is it a clinical facility. We are a recovery focused residence that works to promote healthy living and sustainable recovery.

Job Type: Freelance Contract
Hourly Rate: £15 per hour
Shift Pattern: would be between the hours 10pm - 8.45 am
Shift available: up to 5 nights a week

The role will include ensuring that the appropriate support provided is in line with any individual support plans, whilst also carrying out several key allocated tasks. This position will report to the General Manager and the Managing Director.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as a role-model for members of the residence and embody a strong presence in the building
  • Ensure record keeping is always maintained to the required standard and safeguarding measures are always in place
  • Be a great team player and report back any concerns to the residence manager or the on-call team member urgently if in an emergency
  • Be able to lead a comprehensive handover to relevant staff members before your shift ends
  • Up-hold the Lions Campus ethos always and protect the reputation of the establishments
  • Champion best practice across the organisation
  • Ensure the premises is secure and safe during the night
  • To be reliable and punctual
  • To be constantly vigilant on health and safety matters and to share concerns immediately with line management.
  • Build good relationships with staff and service users.
  • Do everything possible to maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment.
  • To proactively support/encourage the development of their well-being with a good bedtime routine
  • To Assist with cleaning the home and admin tasks in quiet periods during the night

Skills & Experience:

  • Passionate, caring and enthusiastic
  • Adaptable, patient and non-judgemental
  • Willing to learn and adapt with the business
  • A great team player with lots of energy
  • Fantastic communication skills and excellent organisational/record-keeping skills
  • Previous experience with supporting people with mental health difficulties
  • Understanding of general mental health and addictions
  • Enhanced DBS checked
