Work Placement Coordinator - Animal Management
INTERNAL ONLY VACANCY
Salary: £5,859.03 - £6,158.75 per annum (pro rata of £25,100.00 - £26,384.00) plus excellent benefits
Contract: Part time, fixed term until 01 June 2027. 11.1 hours per week, 36 weeks per year (term time only)
Location: Paignton, Devon
South Devon College is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and industry-focused professional to help shape outstanding learning experiences for students in Animal Management and support the successful introduction of T Levels. This varied and hands-on role will coordinate the development, delivery and evaluation of high-quality industry placements, working closely with curriculum teams, students and employers to ensure placements are meaningful, compliant and add real value to the student study programme. You will be instrumental in building and sustaining strong employer partnerships, embedding industry placements within existing work-based learning opportunities and supporting the College to meet DfE and ESFA expectations, while making a positive and lasting impact on learner outcomes and progression.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- A relevant degree or appropriate industry experience
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and recent industrial practice
- Experience of teaching, training, and assessing learners, or willingness to achieve a teaching qualification within the College's timeframe
- Strong subject knowledge across Level 1 to degree provision
