XXIV Old Buildings - Mini Pupillage
Mini-Pupillage at XXIV Old Buildings Commercial Chancery Bar, Lincoln's Inn, London
XXIV Old Buildings offers mini-pupillages throughout the year, each lasting two days (Monday and Tuesday). A mini-pupillage provides a genuine insight into life as a junior tenant in commercial chancery chambers, and is an excellent way for prospective pupils to understand whether XXIV Old Buildings is the right fit for them.
Who should apply:
Given the high demand for mini-pupillages at XXIV Old Buildings, we prefer applications from those who have commenced their legal studies. This includes law undergraduates, law graduates, and those who have commenced or completed the GDL.
A mini-pupillage is not a requirement for pupillage applications, and mini-pupillages are not assessed. That said, we find that prospective pupils who have completed a mini-pupillage with us are more likely to go on to apply, and we encourage those considering pupillage to apply.
How to apply:
Applications are made via our online application form and must include a covering letter and CV (with a module-by-module breakdown of your degree). Applications must be submitted within the relevant window below. Applications received outside these windows will not be considered.
Mini-Pupillage Period:
October to November
Application Window:
1-15 June
Outcome notified by:
15 July
Expenses:
We are committed to ensuring our mini-pupillages are accessible to candidates from all backgrounds. Those selected will be reimbursed up to £300 towards travel to chambers and, where necessary, London accommodation (on production of suitable receipts).
Prospective applicants are also encouraged to explore the Lincoln's Inn mini-pupillage grant scheme, which may provide additional funding.
