Business Development & Marketing Graduate - Leeds/Manchester
Are you passionate about marketing, sales or communications? Our Business Development & Marketing team is the perfect place for anyone who wants to make an impact in these areas. As part of this award-winning department you'll work to support the firm's strategy and help drive profitable revenue growth.
This two-year scheme will grant exposure to a creative and fast-paced Business Development (“BD”) & Marketing environment. This includes assisting with business development programmes to develop client relationships and win new business, using client relationship management software, collating and drafting content for pitches, drafting press releases, digital marketing, supporting marketing campaigns, internal communications and event management.
You will develop a commercial mindset and a clear understanding of how to drive profitable revenue growth, add value to new and existing clients, develop and deliver a distinctive brand proposition and build sector expertise, whilst rotating across our supportive specialist teams:
- Business Development: BD directs growth by understanding client needs and competitor activity, helping lawyers develop strategies for winning new business and improving deliverables.
- Client: Their main goal is to understand what clients need, help them get the best possible service from the firm, and ensure a positive experience.
- Bids: Showcases why Addleshaw Goddard is the right firm to help the client by collecting information on client's needs, highlighting the firm's expertise, and answering client's questions.
- Communications: Responsible for managing how the firm shares information internally and externally. They make sure messages about the firm, its work, and its people are clear, accurate, and professional.
- Marketing: Marketing promotes the firm and its services the wider business community. Their work involves creating and sharing information about the firm, its expertise, and its achievements.

Cyber Security Graduate - Leeds
Are you interested in specialising in Cyber Security? The Cyber Security team are instrumental in protecting and providing integrity of data for Addleshaw Goddard and its clients by ensuring our confidential and commercially sensitive data are secure and not at risk of data breaches and cyber-attacks.
This two-year scheme will provide the successful graduate with knowledge, skills and experience to become an Cyber Security specialist in a large organisation.
This role is in our global IT team, spread across our London, Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh offices and is instrumental in ensuring our data is not at risk of data breaches or cyber-attacks.
You will build knowledge in the following areas:
- Security Policies and Procedures: Rules and guidelines explaining how to use computers securely, escalation methods, and how to handle sensitive information. This helps staff help protect the firm from threats.
- Risk Assessment: This is identifying and evaluating weaknesses that could be exploited by cyber attackers and recommending ways to reduce or manage risks, such as improving security measures or training staff.
- Security Systems: These are the tools and technologies used to protect the firm's computers, networks, and data. Examples include antivirus software, firewalls, and systems that prevent unauthorised access.
- Network Activity and Security Incidents: This involves monitoring the firm's computer network to spot unusual activity and quickly investigating and responding to threats, supporting future prevention.
The Cyber Security Graduate will support cyber security controls and processes, assisting to protect the firm's information assets and IT infrastructure against internal and external threats.
