There’s a lot more to the British Army than most people think. You’ll play an important part in working as a team, keeping people safe and making the world a better place. It’s a big responsibility, but it’s a chance to do something that makes a difference. 

If you want to learn to lead from the very best, become a Regular Officer and start your journey at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. You’ll build confidence, learn survival skills, and train to guide your team through tough situations — anywhere in the world. You’ll then take charge of a group of soldiers and begin specialist training in your chosen area - like engineering, intelligence, or even flying an Apache helicopter.

If you have specialist skills, or want to learn them, you could join the Army as a Professionally Qualified Officer (PQO). There are roles in science, medicine, law and more, where the Army will pay for your civilian training (e.g. university) or offer a lump sum if you’ve already qualified. You’ll then do a role in your field unlike any other in civilian life. 

Army life is full of exciting opportunities, wherever you join. You could be parachuting in the UK or diving overseas. You’ll train around the world, earn a good salary, and enjoy great benefits – from housing and sports, to gaining qualifications and growing your career.

What You’ll Get
