Roles at Camp
When you apply for Camp America, there are different roles to match your skills and interests. At the heart of Camp America are Camp Counselors; mentors, leaders, and role models who guide campers through daily life, activities, and new experiences. Counselors create a safe, supportive, and fun environment that makes camp unforgettable.
General Counselor
General Counsellors get involved in everything! They live in cabins with campers, lead a wide range of activities, and support campers throughout their day-to-day camp life. It’s a hands-on, all-round role that keeps you right at the centre of the action.
Specialist Counselor
Specialist Counselors are hired for their specific skills; whether that’s coaching sports, leading climbing trips, lifeguarding at the lake, teaching arts and media, outdoor adventure, or working with campers with special needs. Campower
Campower roles keep camp running behind the scenes. From working in the kitchen or laundry to groundskeeping and maintenance, these positions are vital to camp life.
