I am a developer in the SAP Data team. My role involves migrating data from ECC environment to SAP environment such as S4 HANA platform using Data Services. I ensure data is transferred accurately and efficiently to support our clients’ business operations.

I couldn’t see myself going to university full time, I wanted to learn on the job as this has always been my preferred learning style. It was a big decision given all my friends went to university, but I knew it was best for me. I knew was never going to thrive through classroom-based learning alone, Capgemini gave me the opportunity to obtain a degree whilst getting the real time work experience.

My favourite thing about working at Capgemini its diverse and inclusive work culture. I appreciate the opportunity to work alongside professionals from various backgrounds, which fosters collaboration and encourages fresh perspectives.

This role has allowed me to gain more experience and understanding that a non-early careers role in UX. This is because I was given the support to shadow, work under and eventually own my own work, with the support of Capgemini. For example, I have had the chance to be a user researcher, content designer and interaction designer – most people in UX stick to one role but we are exposed to all 3 roles which gives us a unique edge in our field. This gives me a great platform to grow and excel in my professional career.
