For over 135 years, Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre has been giving children the chance to experience the seaside – often for the very first time. Based in Skegness, we provide fully funded residential holidays for children from across Derbyshire who may be facing challenges such as poverty, trauma or limited life opportunities.We believe a few days by the sea can change a child’s story. Through fresh air, friendship, fun and care, we help children grow in confidence, independence and self-belief – creating memories that last a lifetime.As we relaunch and grow our offer in 2026, we are building a sustainable and forward-thinking charity. Alongside our core holiday programme, we are developing partnerships with schools, welcoming groups to our centre, and creating new opportunities for volunteers and staff to make a meaningful difference.Our culture is warm, inclusive and purpose-driven.
