Gray & Co is a specialist criminal defence firm based in the centre of Chester. We are committed to providing the best possible representation for our clients from the moment they are suspected of committing a criminal offence.

Our solicitors and paralegals are engaged daily in Police Stations, Magistrates Courts and Crown Courts. In addition, we occasionally deal with breaches of some County Court orders and defend in Regulatory and Military Prosecutions.

We represent clients from all walks of life, assisting those on limited incomes under the legal aid scheme. We will often travel throughout the country to deal with cases. Military work has required us to appear in Courts Martial in the UK, Europe and South America.

All of our solicitors have secured the Duty Solicitor Qualification and take part in the local Duty Solicitor Rota making us one of the largest firms in the county for Duty work.

A number of our solicitors have also secured the Higher Rights (criminal courts) qualification and represent clients regularly in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal.

Gray & Co will commit to training in these fascinating areas of law. We will provide a period of recognised training and fund the Professional Skills Course and Police Station Accreditation Qualification for the successful candidate.

Gray & Co has a high retention rate for staff and would expect to be able to offer a position to a trainee upon admission to the roll.
