Who we are
We’re people first.
Accountants second.
At Hazlewoods, we know our clients don’t just choose us for our accountancy expertise. It’s our vibrant, friendly and sociable team that make the real difference. And that’s why we think you’ll love working for us too. We have over 600 staff based in Cheltenham, Cardiff and Bristol who work with our clients locally, nationally and internationally.
Our apprentices are our future. Which is why we typically take on a high number of school leavers, graduates and university work placements every year. And we don’t base our selection on the subjects you’ve studied – we’re far more interested in the person behind the qualifications. You’ll be given unbeatable training and support and have the opportunity to work alongside a great range of clients. We’re always on the lookout for apprentices with ambition to develop their careers to their fullest potential – right up to the partner level.
Our benefits include: a competitive salary, profit-sharing and paid study leave. We offer a great work/life balance which include a health and wellbeing programme, social events throughout the year and a Trainee Committee to support your progress.
We have opportunities in Audit, Tax, Corporate Finance and our specialist-sector teams. You’ll be given unbeatable training and support and have the opportunity to work alongside some of the best in the business plus an impressive list of clients. As you (and our business) continue to thrive, so do the opportunities you’ll enjoy.

Application process
Recruitment for Placement Students and Graduates begins in October and concludes when all positions have been filled. Applicants undertake online assessments prior to a video interview. Following a successful outcome at both, applicants are invited to an assessment centre. Our assessment centres include group tasks, a presentation and interview which are held at our Cheltenham office.
Benefits
Alongside an impressive benefits package which includes profit share and paid flexitime for hours worked above the standard, we also have an active social committee which arranges fully funded events throughout the year. Some of our highlights recently have included a summer party at Cheltenham lido, staff conference at the Cheltenham Jazz festival, total Wipeout Course, outdoor cinema nights and an unforgettable Christmas party.
