Culture and values
Our People, Our Culture. Our people are the heart of KBR.
Though we are located all around the world, we’ve created a team-based culture driven by collaboration, transparency, mutual respect and shared purpose.
We aim to inspire our people by offering them fulfilling careers, an exceptional employee experience, and compelling, competitive rewards. We’re committed to ensuring that each member of our ONE KBR team of teams always feels included, valued and supported.
Benefits
In addition to an excellent starting salary and sign-on bonus, we offer a flexible and rewarding benefits package. Some of our core benefits include 25 days annual leave, our private healthcare scheme, Pension Plan, a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme and we have a variety of lifestyle benefits like our electric car scheme, childcare support and discounted gym membership.
Most of all, you’ll be joining our vibrant Early Careers community with employee networking groups, and much more!
Your recruitment process
We thoroughly review all candidate applications, proceed to shortlisting through phone screenings, and conclude with an in-person Assessment Centre at our Surrey offices. Our Assessment Centres feature a one-on-one interview, a group activity with other candidates and delivering your own pre-prepared presentation. The first of our Assessment Centres will be held in early December 2024.
Meeting you in person is a terrific way for us to get to know you and we can help you discover why KBR is a Great Place to Work.
Successful candidates will then join us for their induction week at the start of September 2025.
Equality and diversity
We believe our individual differences and perspectives bring enhanced value to our teams and help us develop solutions for the most challenging problems. We understand that by embracing our differences and working together, we are more innovative, more resilient and safer. Our teams thrive when we are all empowered to share our voices. Diverse and inclusive perspectives improve our decisions and maintain our reputation as a great place to work. We will continue to attract talent and insight from all kinds of people. Ensuring that we all feel welcome to participate — no matter who we are — enhances our creativity and the value we deliver.
How We Embrace Inclusion and Diversity:
Always keep diversity in mind when building our teams
Communicate clearly with all team members
Actively seek and welcome diverse points of view to find solutions
Listen to all points of view and perspectives
Speak up if we feel our views or the views of others are not being respected
Wellbeing
From time to time everyone experiences situations that affect their mental and emotional health. To support you during these times, KBR offers an Employee Support Programme.
Wellbeing support at work is also available from our KBR Wellbeing Ambassadors, who have undergone specific training allowing them to understand the potential impact various stressors, from work or home, have upon their colleagues.
They are not ‘stress experts’, counsellors, or therapists, but their training allows them to understand confidentiality and be able to actively listen to what you have to say, while offering practical advice and assistance
Personal development
Graduates are supported on their journey to become chartered in a chosen specialty – whether this is in engineering, project management or procurement and supply. We’ll sponsor you to achieve sought after and industry-recognised qualifications, using the knowledge, skills and experience gained through your Graduate Scheme.
New Graduates enjoy a varied, fun and informative induction week with extra development workshops in the following month. Not only do Graduates build their personal brand through coaching from the Early Careers team, but they network across the community of young professionals which can lead to new opportunities and lasting friendships.
Sustainability
We strive to create a safer more secure and sustainable world for our planet, our communities, our business and future generations.
