About Marks & Spencer
Today, we’re the digitally enabled business that’s shaping the future of retail. Tomorrow? Well, that’s entirely up to you.
Legends of tomorrow think of the future today
Do you ever wonder about the future or what your legacy will be? Maybe you made fashion more sustainable. Or became the CEO of a successful start-up. That takes vision, leadership, resilience and technical skills of expert proportions. All things our new graduate programme and internships have been intentionally designed to equip you with.
We’ve worked hard these past years to create more innovative, explorative programmes to attract the commercial, creative and digital legends of tomorrow. At M&S, we’ve gone through a digital, data-driven revolution that will change the face of retail forever. M&S Tech has become a haven for software engineers, while fresh entrepreneurial talent streams in to transform how we do business strategy, food, fashion and retail management.
Join a community of diverse, inspired, close-knit graduates and interns with the desire, ideas and follow-through to reinvent an industry. But, most of all, the advanced skills learning, leadership coaching and experience in driving live high profile projects on a daily basis. Backed up by the structured mentoring and 360° feedback to help guide you onto your dream path.
Go where the programme is every bit as progressive as the culture. Join the new M&S.
Our applications open in late Autumn. Application closing dates differ by programme. Please be aware that some programmes may close sooner depending on application numbers.
Culture and values
One thing’s for sure: retail is playing a critical role in these uncertain times, and M&S is ready to push boundaries to lead the industry into a greener, speedier, more inspiring digital era. That’s why we’re revolutionising how we work and offering our most exciting opportunities yet, attracting the big thinkers, bold movers and boundary breakers. More and more, they’re realising there’s never been a better time to join us and make an immediate impact.
One of the best things about M&S is how different we all are. We want similar things, but our amazing array of backgrounds, abilities, genders and orientations inspires individual ways of getting there. If you’re wondering if we’re a business that actually cares about diversity, then the fact 40% of our senior management team is female and we continually aspire to develop female future leaders is one example.
Since 2004 our employability programme, Marks & Start, has supported over 2,000 individuals facing barriers each year, get into work. And our internal inclusivity networks help our colleagues to form allies and ensure their voice is heard. We truly are a feel-good place to work and we guarantee the equal opportunities and policies to back it up.
OUR COLLEAGUE NETWORKS

We want to attract allies for inclusion. However you identify, our networks are open and welcoming to all, including champions and supporters.
