Our Mission

Octopus Legacy is the place to plan for death and find support after a loss. When most people think about planning for death and dealing with loss, they think about wills, lasting power of attorney forms, life insurance, probate. But underneath these cold processes is something much more human - the question of ‘What will you leave behind?’.

We built Octopus Legacy to make life easier for people who are left behind.

Our Story

We know the difference a good plan makes and what it's like when there isn't one. Octopus Legacy was founded by Sam after his mum died suddenly in a car accident.

Like many of us, she didn't have a plan in place. This meant that alongside the shock and grief - they also had to content with a much more stressful wave of admin - tedious hours of paperwork, legal admin and work. All making a tough time even harder than it needed to be.
