Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
Equality, diversity and inclusion are fundamental principles in the NHS that underline it’s commitment to providing high-quality healthcare for all. In the NHS, regardless of background, ethnicity, gender or other characteristics, equality signifies the fair treatment of all patients and employees. It aims to eliminate discrimination and promote equal access to healthcare services. Diversity recognises the invaluable differences in both staff and patients, embracing a broad spectrum of perspectives and experiences. Inclusion ensures that everyone, irrespective of their identity, feels respected, valued and empowered, creating a healthcare environment that welcomes and supports all.
