We provide accountancy, audit, advisory and tax services across South West England and beyond, and are the largest independent firm of chartered accountants in the region.

Who We Are

Our vision: Success for our clients, our people, our communities and our firm. A shared ambition.

We were founded in 1919 when Francis Clark, or Frank to his friends, opened an accountancy practice in Newton Abbot. Driven by his commitment to his family, his clients and his community, Frank’s practice steadily expanded. His legacy of shared ambition guides us into a successful future.

We now have over 17,000 clients, 950 people and teams in Bristol, Exeter, Poole, Plymouth, Salisbury, Southampton, Taunton, Torquay and Truro; and a thriving hybrid working culture.

In 2016, we joined PKF, an international network of independently-owned accountancy practices with a global presence in 150 countries, and we re-branded as PKF Francis Clark.

Membership of PKF has meant we can better support clients here in the UK and around the world, especially those with international and cross border interests

We’re the largest firm of independent chartered accountants and business advisors in South West England. We are ranked number 28 on the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list 2023, making this a brilliant place to embark on your accountancy career.

The firm, which celebrated its centenary in 2019, has annual revenue of over £55 million and a 900-strong team based across our offices. Our continuing growth offers you the opportunity to expand and develop your career in a direction that interests you.

We offer a supportive and flexible culture, taking your career seriously to enable you to be the best you can be. In September 2022, PKF Francis Clark was certified as a Great Place to Work. In February 2023 we were ranked as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing (40th out of 79 among large organisations). We work hard to ensure that ours is a culture where you can be yourself, develop and be part of a forward-thinking team that makes brilliant things happen.

PKF Francis Clark is a member of the PKF International family of legally independent firms, which together are ranked as the 11th largest provider of accountancy services in the UK by Accountancy Age.
