A flight search engine to a global leader in travel!

Who we are

When we started in 2003, we set out to do things differently. We wanted to show all flight options in one place, creating a simple alternative to the confusing sites that make travel feel like hard work.

Fast forward to today and we’ve gone from a flight search engine to a global leader in travel. We're proud that more than 100 million people across the world (that's quite a few!) rely on our app and website each month to help them with their travel plans.

Dedicated to making travel as simple as possible, we help each and every one of them find the best options across flights, hotels and car hire to book the perfect trip.

Recruitment Process

For our Engineering Programme

  • If you meet our job description, we will send you an online coding test created by our engineers. This will give you an idea of some real life Skyscanner problems. You will have 7 days to complete this test
  • If you pass the coding test, you will be progressed to the second stage which is a Zoom interview with our Early Careers Lead
  • If the interview is successful, we will invite you to a Discovery Day in one of our offices. Ideally you will need to be available to attend our Discovery Day in person.

For our non-Engineering Programmes

  • If you meet the job description you will be progressed to the first stage interview over Zoom with our Early Careers Lead
  • If the interview is successful, this will be followed by a Zoom interview with the Hiring Manager
  • If the interviews are successful, we will invite you to a Discovery Day in one of our offices. Ideally you will need to be available to attend our Discovery Day in person.

We love to travel. So it makes sense that our people do too. To help you on your merry way, we offer generous time off and reimbursement on select trips.

If you fancy a break from your main office, or home office, you can work anywhere in the world for up to four weeks per year. You can also spend an extended period of time working from another incredible Skyscanner location, meaning you can sit down and work next to the people you've been speaking with on Zoom for years!

Happy matters.

Happiness inside and outside of work is important and we want you to bring your whole self to work. And we take the mental and physical wellbeing of our teams very seriously.

As well as day-to-day office perks (like tasty free snacks, great coffee and cold drinks), team lunches and fun themed social events, we offer discounts on gym memberships, access to mental health apps, flexible working arrangements and much more.

Perks, your way.

Everyone is different, so it makes total sense for us to give people choice when it comes to their perks and benefits.

In addition to travel, healthcare, wellbeing and bonus schemes, you can custom tailor a range of other perks. Fancy learning a new skill? Skyscanner University beckons! Want some money towards setting up your home office? We've got you covered. The choice is yours.

Our values

Travel means discovering new perspectives and experiencing diverse cultures. As a travel tech company, we know Skyscanner will be its strongest when our team is both inclusive and diverse. We're committed to taking that journey together, recognising and challenging everyday biases, removing obstacles to encourage inclusion and ensuring that all of our people can thrive as their authentic selves.

Our values reflect this - we're big on collaboration, treating others with respect and care, and taking ownership. Sounds like something you agree with? Join us for the journey.

We think traveller first.

We love to travel - this is what unites us. It's the reason we think traveller first, partner second and Skyscanner third.

We learn, share and grow.

Our people's diversity is our superpower. Different skills, experiences and backgrounds help us develop as individuals, as well as a business and industry.

We care, always.

We treat each other with empathy and respect because that's how we'll achieve great things together.

We make it simple.

We've done this since day one. We look for simple and smart ways to work together and build things that will make travel easy and accessible for everyone.

We get it done, together.

Our ambition drives us every day. When we see an opportunity to make things better, we go after it and get it right, not being afraid to learn as we go.

Equality & Diversity

Travel is about different experiences and perspectives

Travel means discovering new perspectives and experiencing diverse cultures, and it should be for everyone. Reflective of that, we know that Skyscanner will be strongest when our team is both inclusive and diverse. We’re committed to taking that journey together, recognising and challenging everyday biases, removing obstacles to inclusion and ensuring that all of our people can thrive as their authentic selves.

That’s why, as part of our wider DEI strategy, we have a number of employee networks. These networks educate and empower everyone in the business to champion equality in the areas of race, LGBTQ+ inclusion, gender, accessibility and more. This includes delivering programmes such as our Anti-Racism training, marking significant awareness days and celebrations across the year (Pride, International Women’s Day, Black History Month to name but a few) and ensuring we build Skyscanner’s products in a way that makes them accessible to all.
