Ten10 is an award-winning Tech Consultancy, we offer fast-tracked career opportunities to people from all backgrounds -no experience required!

Ten10 utilises your aptitude for technology, teaches you the knowledge and skills you need to succeed and propels you into a lucrative and progressive Tech career.

We are an established, rapidly growing, and award-winning Technology Consultancy, our goal is to make a real impact on improving diversity within the tech industry and offer fast-tracked career opportunities to people from all backgrounds and experience levels; our Tech Academy is the driving force behind this.

The Academy

The award-winning Academy offers a structured path into the Tech industry, we welcome candidates from any educational/employment background and guarantee success.

The programme offers 7-12 weeks of comprehensive training delivered by our brilliant training team (all of whom are Ten10 Consultants themselves, so you’re learning from people who have actually done the job themselves and can offer practical real-life insights); following this there is the opportunity to complete various industry certifications and exams- all funded for by Ten10 and supported by the wide network of mentors within the organisation. Once you’ve completed your training, you will be placed with one of our leading clients, embedded in a supportive and collaborative team, we pick placements based on the natural aptitudes and skills you showed in training, what you’re interested in and enjoying and on a strong fit between your personality and the client’s company culture, values and progression paths. Many of our Academy Consultants will receive a permanent offer of employment from their client, while others may choose to stay with Ten10 and continue to thrive on one of our Consulting career pathways.

Academy Training includes the following:

  • Software Testing
  • DevOps
  • Programming
  • Business Analysis
  • Software Development
  • Robotic Process Automation
  • Cloud Computing Engineering
  • Project Management

We’re not looking for a specific type of person, but instead, passionate and hardworking people who have an interest in Tech and would like to explore the opportunities available. Whether you’re interested in Business and like to organise and problem-solve, or a real natural techy keen to develop software solutions for world class organisations, or somewhere in between looking to combine creativity with detail – we have a place for you!

Learn IT, Grow IT, Live IT

The Academy follows a structured ‘Learn IT, Grow IT, Live IT’ model across the two-year programme:

LEARN IT: You’ll receive 8 weeks of ‘core’ training (an introduction to a little of everything – taught from the very beginning, there’s no requirement for previous experience or knowledge). We then follow up with up to 4 weeks of additional specialist training (which area of core training did you like best? Let’s explore it more with you! Business Analysis, Test Automation, Software Development and more!). All Ten10 training is delivered by our brilliant team of industry experts – all the trainers are ex-Ten10 Consultants themselves. Core training is conducted remotely, but for additional training. We offer free accommodation (and Yorkshire Tea) in Leeds during this period to all trainees – it’s your choice whether you’d like to move in!

GROW IT: Next, you’ll have some time for self-development via self-driven training, lets focus on YOU, would you benefit from some further 1-2-1 training? Would you like to gain a professional industry certification? Ten10 will fund your self-development and industry qualifications.

LIVE IT: After your training is complete, you will join a Ten10 team on a live project with one of our clients. We’ll work with you to determine which type of project would suit best (based on your interests, your preference for working environment, skillset post-training and client demand). Our clients include fashion brands, market-leading supermarkets, retailers, various Governmental departments, professional services, charities, healthcare providers, law firms and financial institutions. As the two-year Academy comes to an end, you may choose to continue your career with Ten10 in our Consultancy or be offered a permanent role with your client.

Application Process

We welcome applications from all academic and employment backgrounds, you don’t need to have any prior experience in IT as we will provide you with all of the training and support you need to succeed in your new career.

You’ll need to complete a short online application and if successful, you’ll be invited to a telephone interview during which, our talent team will talk you through the details of The Academy and answer all of your questions. Next, you’ll complete an online test to assess where your natural aptitudes for Tech currently lie and finally, you’ll be invited to an assessment centre, where you’ll meet the Wellbeing Team, Training Team and a variety of Ten10 Consultants.

Contactable, always!
We have a variety of touch points each month, through 121’s, drop ins, socials or the phone number of every Wellbeing Team member – who is always available for a call or text. During any of these touch points, you can come to us with any questions, concerns, or for a personal catch up. We also run a collaborative and supportive academy representatives committee so you can raise anything you wish to on a peer level too.

Testimonials

“If you love to learn, working in tech is one of the most enjoyable careers - the learning literally never stops. Society often portrays tech as men speedily writing code in silence. When it isn’t! Tech is really team-focused and collaborative, and the career prospects are endless. I’m always surrounded by people from a variety of ages and backgrounds doing a wide variety of work.”

“Last Summer, I had just graduated with a degree in English Literature and applied to Ten10 on a whim because I found Tech interesting – its all around us. I can’t believe how much I’ve learned in one short year; I’m working for a huge client as a Software Tester and delivering value every day. I had zero experience in Tech, but thanks to the training and support I have received in this programme, I know what a great career I have ahead of me.”

“Ten10 are really invested in making the tech world as accessible as possible to all, including women. They often have initiatives where they celebrate women in tech. There is no limit to what we can do!”

“From my cultural background I didn't see many women, specifically black women in tech, especially coming from my degree background (Psychology). I also thought having ADHD meant I would struggle in an office environment; but Ten10 and my client project have been very supportive and welcoming.”
