About Irwin Mitchell

As the most diverse legal group in the UK, the Irwin Mitchell Group offers far more than traditional legal services. Nationally acclaimed, with strong international capabilities, Irwin Mitchell is one of a few law firms to provide a diverse range of legal services to businesses and private individuals. Irwin Mitchell has a strong customer service culture and a high level of client retention. The component parts of our group, companies and various brands are bound together by our common sense of shared values. We adopt a human, caring approach that our clients can engage with. We are diverse in terms of both the people we employ and the work we do.

What are our graduate opportunities?

The firm's training contracts are streamed so that as a trainee you would either undertake a training contract based within the Personal Legal Services or Business Legal Services division. Trainees will have three training seats and a qualification seat, allowing you to gain practical experience in diverse areas of law, whilst maximising retention opportunities. Whether you choose our Business or Personal Legal Services stream, you will enjoy a fantastic training contract at a truly unique and innovative firm. From the moment you join our graduate programme we are dedicated to your development. We invest in your training and future, as this could be the start of your journey to the very top of our firm. Each summer the firm runs a formal work placement programme which is a great way to get a real insight into what life is like as a trainee at Irwin Mitchell. An increasing number of training contracts are offered to those who have undertaken a legal work placement, so we would encourage all those interested in joining to apply via this route.

How do we select?

The process involves an online application, video interview and assessment centre.
