Law - solicitors
Solicitors provide legal advice, resolve disputes and represent their clients in legal matters. Solicitors are primarily employed by law firms, which range from small ‘high-street’ firms to international firms. However, it is also possible to become an ‘in-house’ lawyer at any organisation that requires legal advice.
Allen & Overy has regained the top spot from Clifford Chance after two years. Elsewhere, the list is dominated by international firms with strong commercial practices. Only four of the magic circle firms – the five most dominant City players: Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Linklaters, and Slaughter and May – make the list this year.
