Construction, civil engineering and surveying
Graduates in the construction industry tend to work for one of three types of employer: consultants, contractors or housebuilders/property developers. Consultants work on the preconstruction and design phases of the projects, while contractors work on site at the actual building phase. Housebuilders tend to work on all aspects of the project lifecycle from acquiring the site to handing over the completed house to purchasers. Here are the top ten employers in the sector.
