What You’ll Do
- Drive Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive qualitative and quantitative research into market trends, focusing specifically on the evolution of cryptocurrency and equity indices.
- Architect Data Solutions: Help build financial solutions from inception to completion by analyzing various datasets, applying time series econometrics and utilizing panel data to uncover actionable insights.
- Engineer Quantitative Signals: Assist in producing impact models and quantitative signals that directly support product improvements and business growth.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work as a vital team player alongside Client Development and Research divisions to prepare high-impact reports and present findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Innovate with Modern Tools: Leverage Python, R, and cutting-edge AI tools to smooth data collection and optimize modeling in a practical, fast-paced agile environment.
What You’ll Bring
- Academic Foundation: Penultimate year students currently pursuing a BSc in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Business, or Finance related subject. MBA year placements also considered.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python or R, with a natural curiosity for applying mathematical and statistical concepts to financial problems.
- Analytical Mindset: Curiosity in applying mathematical, economic, and statistical concepts to real-world financial problems working with multiple datasets. Proven ability to handle large datasets, perform modeling/optimization and maintain high attention to detail.
- Industry Passion: A demonstrated interest in financial or commodity markets and a long-term desire to build a career within financial services.
- Eligibility: Possession of a valid UK visa and a requirement to remain in education for at least six months following the completion of the summer placement.
