Note: While you’ll start in a specific team, client-facing roles naturally evolve over time, offering the chance to work with different clients, teams and sectors across Mace Consult as projects and priorities change.
What you’ll do
In Risk Management, you will play a key role in supporting the use of technical capabilities, senior risk professionals to implement and deliver a range of risk services to support assigned project within the PMO and Planning. Some of your main responsibilities will include:

Supporting with the administration of risk management processes on a project operating under the direct supervision and mentorship of more senior risk professional(s) assigned to that project

Assisting with the facilitation and delivery of risk workshops as required (e.g. as scribe)

Supporting with the preparation of monthly risk reports as required

Contributing to ensuring that all risk management activity is aligned to Mace Control Centre

Performing reviews and assists with the maintenance of the project risk register

Assisting with the integration of risk with other PMO and Planning disciplines
-
Developing working relationships with a range of internal stakeholders
-
Working with team members supporting the provision of operational delivery of team plans

Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work
You will also work towards gaining professional membership of a professional association, fully funded and supported by us. Depending on your existing qualifications and your career goals, options include the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Association for Project Management (APM), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).

About you

A future or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree or higher in any subject
-
5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)
Given the nature of our work, adaptability is key. Our projects and clients are based in various locations, so you should be prepared to travel frequently to different project sites or Mace Consult offices. A positive and adaptable approach to travel is therefore essential, as it may be a regular part of your role. To support this, Mace Consult offers travel expense reimbursements for business travel, including mileage, public transport fares, and, where necessary, accommodation.
