The role

The Agenda Lead is responsible for developing the ideas and delivering the speakers that ensure the growing success of the Global Water Summit. It involves the following activities:

  • Working with the GWI content team and its network of contacts to identify the most compelling themes for discussion at the Global Water Summit.
  • Creating white papers and other content pieces to introduce and promote these themes with the support of other members of the team.
  • Identifying the most important people to have in the room when these issues are discussed, and securing them to speak at the summit.
  • Working with our events team to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day.
  • Developing strategies to push the agenda forwards after the summit.

About you

We’re looking for a recent graduate or someone who has worked for a year or two after university. You should also have the following qualities:

  • Intellectually curious: We don’t expect you to know about water now, but with your strong academic background (ideally with a degree from a Russell Group university or equivalent), we do expect you to get totally engaged with the subject
  • Socially fluent: You’ll be dealing with an array of different people, one of the most exciting elements of our industry, so strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • A communicator: You will need to be able to inspire people in the way that you talk, write, and use visuals.
  • Organised: You’ll be working on numerous responsibilities in tandem and managing the progress of work, which requires good time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work to a deadline.
  • Commercially minded: We are in business to have an impact on the world, but we can only deliver that impact if we are a successful business.
  • Flexible: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, including taking initiative and showing ownership of tasks. Also, the flexibility to travel internationally as and when required.

On offer

Salary: £30,000–£35,000 depending on experience plus benefits including bonus, hybrid working, and exciting development opportunities.
