Begin your career journey in Public Fixed Income: Join M&G’s Eight-Week Summer Internship

Join us on 22 June 2026 for an eight-week internship to gain hands-on experience, develop technical and professional skills, and build a strong understanding of Public Fixed Income within Asset Management.

Your journey will start with a cohort-wide induction, with focused insight sessions to help you learn more about M&G, network with colleagues, and begin developing your professional skills. You will take part in a structured programme, including:

• Team Placement: Join one team for eight weeks where you will take on meaningful work, contribute to live projects, and shadow experienced colleagues to gain a solid understanding of Public Fixed Income.
• Group Project: An opportunity to collaborate with your peers on a business project, developing teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Professional Development: Take part in interactive learning sessions and networking opportunities designed to grow your expertise and build your professional network.
• Your Support Network: Regular check-ins with the Early Careers Team, your manager, and a buddy will ensure you have all the support you need during the programme.

This internship is your first step toward a career in Public Fixed Income. At the end of the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for our Graduate Programme starting in September 2027.

What will you be doing?

Join the evolving world of Public Fixed Income, where every day brings new opportunities to learn and grow. You’ll explore industries, companies, and the broader fixed income market while contributing to meaningful work.

As part of the Credit Research Team, you’ll learn from Analysts who deliver fundamental research on bonds and issuers to support Portfolio Managers. You’ll then see how research is applied in real time by working alongside our portfolio managers as they take that research, construct portfolios and manage risk across various strategies for our broad range of clients.

As an intern, your work will include fundamental research and ad hoc projects that directly support portfolio managers, producing insights that contribute to the daily management of funds. You’ll also gain hands on experience with the key tools our investment teams rely on, like Bloomberg and Aladdin.

This internship will give you a solid foundation in credit research and a deep understanding of the complexities of the fixed income market, and you will discover what it takes to succeed as an M&G investment professional and build the core skills needed for a career in the industry.

Minimum Requirements

• Expected graduation date of Summer 2027 (You will be a penultimate year student, or final year student intending to study a Master’s degree)
