Programme information

You will join as a trainee as part of the Investment20/20 programme. While we can’t guarantee a permanent position at the end of the 12 month contract, it is our intention to make an offer to extend a further year, but this is up to how well you perform. 75% of Investment20/20 trainees are offered permanent positions.

Our traineeship will introduce you to investment management and you will gain industry knowledge, experience and develop relationships enabling you to progress your career and provide you with skills to secure a permanent role. We will support you in achieving a professional qualification if this is something you are interested in doing. As part of the Investment20/20 programme, you will have opportunities to meet and network with over 300 trainees across the industry and participate in socials and insight events.

Our trainee programme is a fixed term one-year contract. You will receive 24 days annual leave. All roles are based in London.

Programme Summary

This is a programme intended to give you a breadth of knowledge and experience within the business to enable you to make informed decisions about where you would like to develop your career.

Responsibilities include

The main purpose of the Assistant Quantitative Analyst is to support the London Quantitative Research Team in its mission to develop, design and apply quantitative tools and strategies for fund managers and traders as part of the investment decision making process.

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop the quant infrastructure and production of quant data
  • Updating workshop and investment committee materials
  • Assist in quantitative analysis for major institutional presentations
  • Undertake ad hoc projects
  • The role holder will adhere to FCA rules, conduct rules and principles and the Firm’s policies and procedures. Where appropriate, the role holder will seek guidance from management or Compliance.

Requirements

If you are a graduate who has an interest in working within financial services and has the following attributes, we are interested in hearing from you:

  • Programming Knowledge of two of the following – VBA/Python/Matlab/JavaScript
  • Enjoy working with or designing databases
  • This role is highly numeric
  • Enjoy interpreting data and good attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively both internally with other teams and functions
  • Enjoy working in a team
  • An interest in financial markets
