The Trainee Programme is at least a 12-month full time paid job with training, support and networking opportunities. Trainees are employed by the firm and enrolled on the Investment20/20 Trainee Programme.
Investment20/20 trainee jobs are released all year round and are open to those with and without a degree. Job roles vary and require different skills.
To become a trainee, you apply directly to the recruiting employer,
and you can apply for multiple roles. Over 200 trainee jobs are released every year, each with its own closing date. You can apply for multiple Investment20/20 trainee jobs.

You will go through a recruitment process for each job. The application process is outlined on each job description. It will mostly include a CV, covering letter, a short task, and an interview. Sometimes the process may include psychometric tests and assessment centres. Once you begin your Investment20/20 Trainee role, you will enrol on the Investment20/20 trainee development programme.
In addition to training by their employer, Investment20/20 trainee access the Investment20/20 development programme, which is a series of sessions aimed at the development of industry knowledge, skills and networking. Trainees have a chance to take part in a range of development opportunities which include:

At the end of the 12 months, trainees are often offered a permanent role at their employer, however this cannot be guaranteed. You will continue to be a member of the Investment20/20 community, invited to networking sessions and other ongoing development opportunities.

Research the employer
You may find it useful to find the answers to the below questions to help you get started on your employer research:
What are the organisation values?
How is their organisation structured?
What information can you find about the investment strategy?
Are they a global firm?
Have they had any merger or acquisitions in the recent past?
What is their approach to diversity and inclusion?
This research will help you to become familiar with the organisation and will enable you to reference key information in your application and interview answers.

Research the role
Do these three things before an interview and as part of your overall application process:
Re-read the job description, highlight the skills that the employer requires and identify experiences from your life that demonstrate that you have these skills.
