The internship would be a full-time or part-time position depending on preference for 12 weeks between June and September 2023.
The intern would be responsible for delivering a research report exploring how cutting-edge technologies such as AI and Digital Twins can be applied to strengthen financial stability in the face of emerging systemic risks. The report should examine the potential of these technologies.
- The role of financial institutions in mitigating systemic risk, with a focus on interconnectedness across markets.
- How current frameworks address these dynamics, and where critical blind spots or data gaps persist.
- Case studies showcasing the use of AI, Digital Twins, and other advanced technologies to simulate market behaviour, detect early warning signals, or assess systemic stress scenarios.
Opportunities for applying frontier technologies including machine learning, network analysis, and Digital Twin models.
This work will be an important contribution to the BIS Innovation Hub London Centres work and help us identify areas for further technology experimentation. The report would be based on desk research and interviews with subject matter experts.
The intern would work independently, with support from BIS Innovation Hub's advisors. The role could be performed in person in the BIS Innovation Hub's London Centre or virtually.
