What you’ll do

From day one, you’ll work with teams that help HSBC, and its customers operate smarter, faster, and better.

Here’s a taste of what you will get involved in:

  • Our customer is our number one priority, and you will support teams focused on enhancing customer journeys and our digital banking capabilities.

  • You could spend time working with our products & propositions teams who ensure the bank has the most appropriate product range, delivers high-quality customer service, develops marketing campaigns, and manages complaints effectively.

  • Work on projects that drive our strategy to excel in mass affluent and wealth market segments, such as our Premier proposition.

  • Help turn complex information into clear recommendations and present your ideas to senior leaders and decision-makers.

  • You are driven by data and will use insights to identify trends and kickstart solutions based on your findings.

What you’ll learn

We’ll kick things off with a week of structured training to get you up to speed. From there, you’ll have a mix of hands-on learning, mentoring, and skills coaching to help you thrive.

You’ll build skills in:

  • Business operations: Get hands-on experience at one of the world’s largest banks and learn how big organisations work.

  • Stakeholder engagement: understand how to build great relationships and communicate effectively at different levels of the business.

  • Making an impact: Be part of change that lasts – gain exposure to on transformation projects that shape the future of HSBC and have a positive impact for thousands of customers worldwide.

​By the end of your internship, you’ll have a clear understanding of the role of a Business Analyst in this area of the bank and where it could take you in your career.

Additional information

We will consider candidates that require visa sponsorship for this role (subject to Home Office guidelines).

Eligibility criteria

  • Available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2026

  • Expected to graduate in 2027

  • Obtained, or expected to achieve, a minimum 2:1 Degree classification or higher or overseas equivalent

  • Fluent in English
